A Very Hung Up Holiday Playlist
A bonus December playlist 🎄
I made a Christmas-Holiday playlist for the paid list. I’m? In a very playlist-making mood I guess?
There are classics (Mariah, Ariana, Darlene Love, Donny Hathaway) personal favorites (allllll of Tyler’s Christmas/Grinch songs), new favorites brought to my attention by Vulture’s list (“December Baby,” “tis the damn season” because yall know I wasn’t into evermore, that Raveonettes Christmas song), and the Christmas cover a crush put on a mix CD for me when I was thirteen (Nick and Jessica’s “Baby It’s Cold Outside”).
There’s also: the Eyes Wide Shut waltz, maybe three too many Chance The Rapper Christmas songs but embarrassingly I still like them, the song my best friend and I send each other every Christmas (“Christmas of Love”), Elvis (not Austin Butler, although he didn’t put all that work into bringing an unknown artist to my attention for nothing), Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, and DMX because it’s not Christmas without him! 66 songs, three and a half hours.
