Doja Cat Ineligible For The Oscar She Should Be Winning

I spent a lot of this week home in Tulsa driving around listening to “A&W” as Lana Del Rey intended! Anyway: This is The Friday Post.
The Oscars are this weekend: holiday season for people who earnestly posted “my favorite season is awards season” on Tumblr in the late aughts (🙋♀️, unfortunately), and AMPAs voters who pop their head out of a hole once a year to be loudly racist. (Have you read a blind Oscar ballot?? Girl.)
This has not been my favorite year of movies, and so the Oscar season has been kind of a snooze for me. Everything Everywhere has most of the main awards sewn up (including, puzzlingly, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis) which is nice! Not my favorite movie of the year, but I’m happy for them. No matter who wins Best Actress, the Lydia Tar account is the deserving of its own award.
