More from Hung Up this week: ‘Spare’ Some Change … it took me 5 minutes to find this celebrity’s Letterboxd … my essay for Hinge’s No Ordinary Love audiobook.

I have been reading the diary I kept in the fourth grade, and it is amusing to see how much hasn’t changed. I complain about my dad, I have a Legally Blonde movie marathon with my mom, I look forward to a sleepover, I detail creative differences with my primary school newspaper. “It’s my third day without Auntie. I miss her soooooooooooooooooooooo much,” I wrote. She was on a trip to Birmingham and I was counting down the days till her return. Friday was six months since she died; it still doesn’t feel real.
