A few days after posting what might be the most embarrassing reel ever reel’d — the cuddling, him popping that gum, fix it Lord — Jennifer Lopez’s socials went dark. In pop star language that meant an album announcement was upon us:
Twenty years after the release of This is Me … Then, J.Lo’s self-professed “favorite” album and the one dedicated to Ben Affleck, she has returned with This Is Me … Now. This ninth album will be her first since 2014. The video announcement showed a recreation of the original album’s cover morphing into the new album’s cover — presumably a shot from her Vogue shoot, no? The “musical experience” is due sometime in 2023.
