nicole scherzinger's response posted last night btw: "When I commented on these posts, I made the mistake of not realizing that they could be easily interpreted as being politically related and I apologize to anyone who understandably reached that conclusion. Many presumptions are being drawn, which do not reflect who I am, what I stand for, or who I voted for. Many of the marginalized communities feeling hurt and concerned by the results of the presidential election are people I care about most. I stand with them, as I always have, throughout my life and career. If you know me, you know that." + some more god stuff

fwiw i kinda feel like being trump-y and trying to get a TONY nom seems so like an uphill battle ... versus trying for an oscar or emmy nom where it seems not totally disqualifying and could maybe even work in your favor ... 🙃

I’m still hung up on the credit card that has a game show hosted by the CEO

Speaking of Succession, I often think about the CEO/host's wedding from earlier this year that started with a safari in South Africa and ended in front of the pyramids in Egypt. https://people.com/stunning-photos-from-bilt-rewards-ceo-ankur-jain-wedding-to-erika-hammond-in-egypt-8640658

wait the theme of the wedding was … the met gala?? oh anna is never sending them an invitation lmao. “We're not traditional wedding people,” says Jain. “Why do you have to spend $20,000 on flowers? It doesn’t make sense. And none of that should matter when you're getting an opportunity to sit and have dinner at the base of the pyramids!”

for a while i thought they must have some sort of connection to Egypt. but it seems to have landed at “pyramids are cool and this is different”.

💯 on the assessment of RR. Just another smug, not funny guy whose ads are not funny, either.

I grew up idolizing Martha because my mom had ALL her books. I was 12 years old making handmade Christmas table decorations with pine cones because of her 😭 I love how she’s seemingly not media trained and says whatever the f she wants! She wanted more Dr. Dre in the doc! She kinda trashed the doc in a funny way and I’m glad she’s exposing RR for what he is.

I had just watched another doc about her recently maybe a CNN one and was already riveted. This Netflix is so much better. She’s genuinely so compelling and a total original.

I really miss Martha Stewart Living magazine and just bought an issue from the thrift store. I loved the calendar at the beginning that gave her schedule that was like:

1) Monday: horseback riding

2) Tuesday: Pilates

3) Wednesday: press linens

I also loved the feature in the middle section where cool rich people gave recommendations. Sometimes it would be a shade of nail polish and then later it would be some Cartier jewelry that was price upon request.

I also don’t get RR’s response. It comes off so forced.

I mentioned this in a different comment section, but that Quincy Jones interview is my A Low Vera. I will bring it up whenever I can. It is 10/10. Elderly celebrities with no filter* are the best

I kind of figured Ryan Reynolds hired a comedy writer to tweet for him, but the “spry” tweet is bad enough that I think he may have come up with it all by himself.

Thank you for addressing the painfully nonsensical nature of RR’s tweet. I, too, have sat with it for many moons and am befuddled. Did he workshop it with BL? Did he workshop it at all? It’s a cancelable offense imo.

THANK YOU! I used winningest in a sentence and this guy (who I had just met mind you) called me out in front of everyone and argued with me about whether or not it was a real word. We were in the pool so I didn't have quick access to a phone but luckily a kind gentleman sitting poolside looked it up and shamed him. So thanks to that guy!

I used to love Ryan Reynolds but man he has slowly become a bitch eating crackers for me so I don't know how I feel about the comparison to Gavin Newsom cuz I still like Gavin Newsom 😂
