Connor Roy has already won Succession. Cuz he knows who his ride or die is and he’s not throwing her aside for anyone. I love this arc - it’s really such incredible writing. Like yes he’s an incredible douche but he’s the only one who doesn’t self-sabotage.
just rewatched part of that balcony scene and i just need to say: the hand gesture Macfadyen makes when Tom says the word "broken" - i am SHOOKETH. what a highlight reel for him. I'm so sorry Shiv, but you needed to hear those Wambsgans truthbombs.
My group thread has a theory that Lukas and Ebba concocted the India bit as fiction to use as bait for the Roy kids to embarrass themselves. Further, Shiv’s allyship was just for intel and Lukas doesn’t trust her either.
This episode was so good! Gerri stays winning. I also loved Tom telling Shiv that betraying wasn't his fault because it wasn't his fault she never got her father's approval. Okay, Tom!
Where do you all stand on who’s more right between Tom and Shiv? The hubby and I kind of disagreed - surprisingly I sided more with Tom and he with Shiv. I just think she pushed him too hard/the disrespect was too much - between Nate and endorsing idea that he was getting shit-canned. She’s so self-sabotaging! I want to root for her but she’s so broken and won’t get herself to therapy. Like i know the you’re not mom material was low (esp cuz it’s what her horrible mom said in Italy) but honestly, has she shown any ability to think about another human being? Like maybe when she comforted Kendall back in season 2? She’s been playing both sides for 3 seasons and I don’t blame Tom for understanding and saying that she has no damn loyalty to anyone but herself. I guess I’m team Tom at this point.
Another point: I’m very surprised by how on top of shit Ken still is. Like this latest idea of acquiring GoJo is kinda batshit but also maybe something Logan would do. I wouldn’t put it past the writers to pull the rug out under him before it’s all over but he seems waaaayyy more in control of himself than Roman (who again just fucking lost it with Connor) and Shiv. It’s kind of refreshing that they’re self-imploding and he’s not (yet anyway). Maybe he really just needed Logan to be dead to not self-destruct...
I think Mondale deserves a job in the company after all the peace he’s probably tried to keep between Shiv and Tom. “Conflict resolution” is definitely a key skill on his resume
My girl Willa on the top of the rankings...we did it Joe.

Imagine marrying and procreating with Kendall Roy. Imagine that

I know Rava and MacKenzie Scott are in a book club together, sipping a rosé that would have Tom spinning.
