I literally like exclusively buy Ref, and now I have to read this culture article. Here's to the Veda leather jacket that I have to pick up from the trunk of my parent's car. Cheers.
Oh it's not like a big secret-y secret at all, I work for CB2. Not on the email team but there's only two other writers besides me here. Chris Black tweeted one of our subject lines once (without the sender info thank g) and I was like oh yikes oh no. We're not fashion but we look there all the time for creative inspo, though we've definitely "evolved" past the Reformation-esque voice in the past couple of years. Whatever that means.
Omg can I just say the CB2 subject lines crack me up too.. like i love when it’s a normal email and lowercase and then A SALE COMES ALONG AND IT’S LOUD
hahaha ty! those are all my coworker so i'll have to tell her you said so. my favorite was the clothing optional one we ran recently about a nude color trend.
as someone who worked there for almost 2 years im way too familiar with how you feel about this 😭
the way my ass is about to subscribe just to have something that spices up my inbox. hope you get some coins for this accidental press for them
lmao noooo resist
(1) the way I am literally subscribing rn so I frankly can’t believe you are doing Ref promo for free? (2) see also: Nuuly emails
wanting to hold a lighter up to, " I think it’s funny that, pre-2020, Reformation had the exact same taste in white girls as Leonardo DiCaprio."
oh no i just got one
GET SPRUNG
stoooop
this is leaving me living, laughing, screaming, crying. someone at reformation put together a collection for this mood
This made me want to subscribe to their emails because WTF but also maybe they should give you free clothes then?
You could not have reshared this at a better time. I was just lolling at their recent email and wondering if anyone else felt the same. Ily for this!
thank you for corrupting my workday slack...."what if we all just started speaking in reformation email subject lines..."
Of course I had to come leave this: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/01/style/monica-lewinsky-model-reformation.html (you really have the pulse of the nation @hunterharris)
